Experienced Investor and Management Teacher Jean-Jacques Degroof
Jean-Jacques Degroof has held various positions as a venture investor and educator over the past 30 years, spending much of his time between Brussels and Boston. As a teacher, he emphasizes entrepreneurship and innovation management. Jean-Jacques Degroof has led classes at many established European business schools, though he has shifted his focus in recent years to become a volunteer mentor for young technology entrepreneurs. He is an educational counselor with the MIT Educational Council and a past member of the MIT Sloan Dean’s Circle.
In his capacity as a venture investor, meanwhile, Jean-Jacques Degroof has effectively grown numerous businesses from bases in Belgium and the US, including a venture that redefined mobility in cities, earning a nine-figure valuation. He excels at developing and refining business plans, ensuring that projects stay on track for success.
Jean-Jacques Degroof has studied management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management and the Catholic University of Louvain’s IAG School of Management.
